Spatial Data Structures for Ocean Accounts

This technical report introduces the ways spatial data is used within ocean accounting and ecosystem accounting more broadly. The report provides insights into why using a spatial lense is useful in comparison to existing data infrastructure processes, and underscores how spatial data can be utilised, stored and standardised to ensure greater synergy. The report highlights the development of a framework that accounts for spatial ocean data, providing ways to standardise this information.
