ECSA 59 brought together a global multi-disciplinary community of researchers, educators and practitioners to address issues of outstanding importance in the science (both natural and social) and management of estuaries and coastal seas.
On September 6, the GOAP Secretariat hosted a Special Session titled ‘Bridging the science-policy interface through Ocean Accounts – a data foundation for knowledge and decision making for ocean sustainable development’. Presentation topics (linked below) included natural capital accounting in the North-East Atlantic, the Ocean Accounts Framework, and ocean economic accounting. The Secretariat also presented a poster on the same topic (pictured below). Learn more.
