30 March 2022 | Virtual
The 3rd Global Dialogue built on the previous two editions of this event in 2019 and 2021 to reflect on the accelerated progress of ocean accounting and discuss the state of ocean accounting globally in 2022. The event brought together over 200 delegates from 65 countries spanning governments, international organisations, research institutions, and other stakeholders to explore country experiences with initiating, implementing and using ocean accounts and showcase what ocean accounts can deliver for different institutions as a foundation for ocean sustainable development planning. Event discussions also laid the foundation for the creation of an agenda for action to further ocean accounting efforts globally.
